What are the defects?

The chair may be assembled incorrectly, leading to risks of falls or finger entrapments.

What are the hazards?

IKEA has received five incident reports globally in which MYSINGSÖ beach chair collapsed during use due to incorrect assembly. All five reports included injuries to fingers and required medical attention.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who purchased a MYSINGSÖ beach chair before February 2017 should return the chair to their nearest IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
